“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Coco Chanel

The cost of casual

When is a casual shirt not a casual shirt? When it cost £85 and came from Thomas Pink.

I do like a man to look smart and well turned out, and it’s often more difficult to be casual and well dressed than it is to wear a great suit. Designer casual shirts look fantastic, on the right man for the right occasion but how many of us would be able to tell the difference between Tesco and Thomas Pink? I can. I think that if you can afford it you should buy the best everytime.

There’s just nothing to compare to the cut, style and feel of a well tailored formal shirt, be it casual or formal. Good quality clothing also lasts for ages without twisting or pilling.

The art of being casual is being self assured and comfortable in the knowledge that you are not going to see another man in the pub or at the barbecue in an identical shirt.
