We’re enjoying warm weather at the moment and with the school holidays around the corner the sun looks set to continue. Something really important to think about is what your children wear on their feet. The main consideration for children’s footwear are of course comfort; kids love to run around and they’re not going to enjoy themselves if their shoes are restrictive or uncomfortable. Style is another important factor, and for older children it could even be the most important due to peer pressure, fitting in with what they perceive as fashionable, etc. Other considerations include value and of course durability (even though children’s feet are still growing you need a pair that will last at least through the summer). Finding the right balance is key but what’s the best way to go about it?
Firstly remember some of the above factors can be sacrificed, for example if the shoes are not durable but they are so cheap you can replace them for next to nothing, durability doesn’t really matter. For this reason jelly shoes continue to be popular. They are great for kids to wear paddling as it stops them stepping on sharp stones in the sea. If the shoes are only to be worn for a short amount of time, ie plastic flip flops which are taken and only worn pool, or beach, side, it doesn’t matter if they are not that durable or fashionable as they are only worn briefly. Great summer shoes brands for children are Crocs or Start-rite .

When looking for a day to day pair of summer shoes for your child, boys sandals are great and you can buy a comfortable and good quality pair easily enough in the high street. It’s definitely best to take the child with you and have them walk around the shop in the shoes. They can then help choose a pair they consider trendy enough and you know they fit properly so should be comfortable.

The summer is here and although you are not in holidays, there are some small details that can make you look fresh and trendy. Straw bags, hats and espadrilles will make you feel the good sensations of summer.
The straw has managed to become a trendy material for summer. It came into vogue towards the end of the 1800s, with a new social informality and a less rigid class structure. Now raffia hats are worn by men and women and represent comfort, and good weather… so don’t hesitate on go shopping one of this must of the season! You have the classic straw one with a black strip but you can find these hats in many colours and sizes, there is no excuse for not having one.
A straw Weave Beach Bag is also the perfect summer accessory, it works well with casual wear, and it’s neutral so goes with absolutely everything. Buy one and start feeling on holidays.

Moreover espadrilles are the hot trend of the summer. Of Spanish and South French origin, they are a classic warm weather shoe. They are sleek, comfortable and stylish and normally have an affordable price. You can find them either flat or wedge sandal and both are perfect to combine on a casual day.

Spring is finally here – officially at least – but it’ll be a while before it’s warm enough to reveal your legs. So how can you keep warm while still looking stylish? With a fabulous pair of tights, of course! The days are long gone when all you had was sheer tan tights; these days there’s such a vast range available, in every thickness, style and colour you can imagine, that you can dress those legs and stand out from the crowd.

Colour is a simple way to add pizzazz to a plain outfit. If you´re a little nervous of colour, don´t be. The shops are full of strong coloured hosiery this year. Purple, mustard yellow, red, emerald green, stripes, diamond patterns, prints – wear one of these with a black dress and you’ll need no other accessories, the tights will do all the talking. Alternative shops are great for finding bold tights in extraordinary colour combinations.
If you like to keep your look more subtle, and yet plain tights are too boring, then go for one of the many patterned pairs available in a more discreet shade. A pattern in a single colour can still look great. Try diamonds, flowers or coloured fishnets. I particularly loved lilac fishnets this year – classy but fun.
If you´re really daring, mix your colours and patterns. A striped dress worn with diamond patterned tights might not be elegant, but it certainly would be eye-catching. If you’re young enough or individual enough to pull off this look, and love being stared at, then go for it! Or try a striped top with matching (or contrasting) coloured tights, separated by a plain skirt.
So you see, keeping your legs warm doesn’t have to mean a choice between trousers or dull tights! Try some of these suggestions and stay warm while looking cool.

Everyone reaches a stage when they tire of their wardrobe and look to update and renew their look. However, all too often it seems that this is a difficult thing to do as it requires a lot of financial resources. Although I think it is possible to freshen and update your look without having to invest a great deal through the use of accessories.
By accessorising an outfit you can add a new dimension to it and totally transform it from what it is. What is more accessories allow you to experiment and mix and match to find a look that suits you. Furthermore it allows you to create several different looks using only one outfit.

Given the winter chill that we are all experiencing in the UK at the minute perhaps the ideal accessories to experiment with are hats, scarves and tights. No matter what anyone says I am a firm believer that you can not only be practical but fashionable all at the same. Furthermore if the range of tights on offer at MyTights is anything to go combining the two elements has never been easier. To be honest I don’t think I knew it was possible to have so many styles of tights or stockings but the selection on offer there is great and means that no matter what your hosiery requirements are you are sure to find what you are looking for.

So to add a splash of colour to your life this winter why not opt for a pair of purple or blue tights? Or if you are feeling slightly more adventurous why not try a pair of funky, patterned tights? Either way I think you will be surprised how much an outfit can be transformed just through the use of hosiery. It can lift an outfit from dull and mundane to something fresh and exciting.

In my opinion, the best fashion accessories this year are going to be retro sunglasses and necklaces. In fact, they have been the best fashion items for years now and no-one has really taken full notice of them like they deserve.
Retro sunglasses are on this years fashion rota. You can get them cheaply from most clothes shops and they complement most types and styles of clothing. Ranging in many different plain colours, there is a lot to choose from and there will be a type of sunglasses, whether it be red or white, that suits everyone.
Necklaces never really went out of fashion, and a silver or gold necklace can bring out a person’s true fashion sense. The idea of a necklace on both males and females accentuates the neck area and allows the item to go with many different types of clothing. You can also opt for the slightly Mediterranean bead styles necklaces because those offer the same credibility as the gold or silver ones at a fraction of the price.
